For all those who are interested in television serial making, the National Institute of Design (NID) has some help to offer you! At a time when TRP battles are increasing every day, NID aims to brush up skills in serial making as it hosts a workshop: 'Make a TV episode' in October.

The five-day workshop starting from October 10 will help professionals in the areas of communication design. It aims to give a more recent and broader insight into the process of communication design and its importance in view of the new competitive television channels.

The workshop will be anchored by the faculty of the Department of Film and Video Communication. Prof SB Saxena will also help participants get equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed for self learning, understanding basic video technology, exposure to contemporary visual language and art of handling actors and dialogues. 

The course contents will focus on understanding scripts, screenplay and character development, production planning, casting and costume, planning and detailing of spaces - use of spaces in narrative, directing the episode, apart from music, dubbing and sound design.
