The Kapil Sharma Show: Reason behind its title revealed!

Comedy Nights with Kapil is now a thing of the past. Kapil Sharma has moved on with his Comedy Nights family to a different show on a different channel. Yet, there's something that remains the same. The title of his next show will still have his name. The new comedy show on Sony TV will be called The Kapil Sharma Show.

Now, Comedy Nights with Kapil too was named after him and this one too follows the same pattern. When asked about taking away credit from the team, Kapil immediately responded, "Really? I don't think so. It has always been a team work. It's not just my show. It's our show where Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarty, Ali Asgar and Chandan plays equal role in livening up everyone's TV sets. So it's not just solely my credit."

Sony TV CEO, NP Singh came to Kapil's rescue and spoke in his defence. "The actual reason why we named it 'The Kapil Sharma Show' is very different. We at Sony TV conducted an extensive survey where we spoke to people from different regions and the only thing they wanted to know was, 'Kapil Sharma ka naya show kab aa raha? When is the Kapil Sharma show starting?' That's when we decided this name will connect with the audiences instantly and it also will make the most impact." 

So now you know why the show is yet again named after Kapil!
