Pop star Justin Bieber cried after his performance at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. The 21-year-old 'Baby' hitmaker performed his old song 'Where Are U Now' and the latest single, 'What Do You Mean', before the theatre went dark, signalling the beginning of Bieber's voice-over, reported Entertainment Weekly.

In the spoken-word outre, the singer talked about how falling makes you stronger and called life a "journey, sometimes a battle". Bieber descended from the ceiling and broke down in tears, after wrapping up the monologue.

'What Do You Mean?' is the lead single from Bieber's upcoming untitled album, the followup to his 2012's 'Believe'.

The album, which is reportedly due out this November, will be about the pop star's experiences in life.

"There's some personal stuff and some ballads. There's some spoken-word moments with him literally talking about what he's going through in his life. It's all about the experience of being Justin Bieber," a source said.
