American fans of "Harry Potter" are in for a treat after author JK Rowling has suggested the existence of a US version of Hogwarts, which may be revealed in the forthcoming prequel movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". The author was conducted a Q+A session on Twitter and was asked by one fan asked whether the main protagonist – Newt Scamander – would be visiting a school in New York as part of the film's plot and what its name would be, reported Guardian. Rowling said she is never one to give away plot spoilers, saying "that information will be revealed in due course."

However, she added, "No, but he's going to meet people who were educated at (name) in (not New York)."

She was asked by another fan whether the school would have any links to Native American-Indian culture, she wrote: "If I answer that fully it will reveal the location of the school, but you can take that as a yes!"

Last week, it was finally confirmed officially that Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne will be starring in the role of Scamander, the magizoologist who wrote the textbook used by Hogwarts students. Rowling herself is currently putting the final touches to the screenplay, and the movie itself has a scheduled release date of November 18, 2016.

David Yates is signed up to helm "Fantastic Beasts".
