Shah Rukh Khan had started shootinf for Rahul Dholakia's Raees a month ago and has already completed his first schedule with the team. Salman Khan is all set to begin shooting for YRF's Sultan this November, right after his Prem Ratan Dhan Payo release. But the catch is both the films have decided to release their films on Eid next year.

While Red Chillies has not made any official announcements yet, there have been reports doing the rounds that SRK and team are looking forward for an Eid release next year. Now, YRF has already made an official announcement, booking the coveted Eid slot for their next with Salman- Sultan. So is the box office ready for the Clash of the Titans? Will Sultan and Raees release on the same day? Will SRK and Salman go head-to-head with each other?

Playing the role of a 40 year old boxer in the film, Sultan will have Salman essaying the titular role and he's rigourously working out to maintain a particular body type for the film. Along with that, there have been numerous names floating in the media about who the lead heroine would be. On the other hand, in Raees, SRK will be seen playing the role of a Gujarati bootlegger and will have political connotations too. The film is set in the Muslim ghetto of the '80s and will also star Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan in pivotal roles.

YRF released a 30 second promo of the film, giving away the core theme of the plot- 'wrestling'- and also announcing that their film will indeed hit theatres next Eid.

But now that SRK has not yet announced his film, will he let his Raees clash with Sultan? Or will he change the release date of the Rahul Dholakia film? Nothing's confirmed but given the rekindling friendship between the two Khans, we definitely think that one might budge for the other. An Independence Day release, maybe?
