If you think Shahid Kapoor-starrer Udta Punjab’s trailer had abuses galore, check out the leaked trailer of Manoj Bajpayee’s Saat Uchakkey doing the rounds on social media. Filled with cusswords in practically every line, with sexual expletives filling in the entire 100 seconds, the promo of this Neeraj Pandey film is shocking by all means.

Saat Uchakkey deals with the story of seven men from Delhi. Ben ki ch**, gaa***, bhos**waalon, chu**yon, mein goli maarunga — all of this has been as casually used in the promo as if it were everyday’s language. Perhaps it is for some people in Delhi, but it would be not just surprising but even shocking if this goes past the Censor Board,” comments an observer.

In fact, the promo has apparently not been dubbed entirely, as apparent in the poor sound quality. However, what one hears quite clearly is Aditi Sharma (Ladies vs Ricky Behl) shouting at a vegetable vendor: ‘Zyaada bola na ch**iye, toh ye lauki poori ga**d mein chada doongi’.

“Sunny Deol’s Mohalla Assi got into trouble because it had cuss words right through. There too, the promo was leaked. One just hopes that SU doesn’t go through this fate,” a person from the trade adds.

“The film was announced quite a while back and wrapped up in 2014. In fact, Manoj even took to Twitter and had announced the release for Christmas 2014. However, nothing happened post that. Later, around the release of Baby (2015) when Neeraj Pandey was quizzed around the film’s release, the filmmaker had mentioned that he was looking for a good window to bring on SU,” the source informs.

When asked about it, Manoj expressed surprise about the leaked trailer. “The film is still with the Board, so I don’t know how the trailer got leaked.” As for the use of expletives, Manoj says the film is based in the heart of Chandni Chowk in Delhi and that’s the way people communicate there. “Gaalis are not used for sensationalising, they are part-and-parcel of the behaviour of the people living there, but they don’t mind it.” He, however, says that they will wait and see what the Board has to say.
