The woman who accused a self-styled godman Ashu Bhai Guruji of raping her and also molesting her daughter went to the Crime Branch office to record her statement on Tuesday. The woman, in her complaint, told the police, that it was not just the godman but also her son who sexually exploited her and later asked her to bring her daughter as well.

On Tuesday, the woman's statement under section 164 of the CrPc was recorded. The police have also recovered a voter identity card in which the name of the godman is mentioned as Asif Khan and his son's name as Samar Khan even though the pictures are of the godman and his son. The police officials are verifying the identity card.

The woman told the police that she had gone to wish him on Diwali in 2013 at the Rohini Ashram, when he along with his associate, sexually assaulted her. Ashu's manager Ravi Shankar gave her water laced with sedatives following which she lost consciousness. When she woke up she told the accused that she would narrate her ordeal to everyone but the accused told her that he would eliminate her entire family.

"He kept on threatening me and exploited me. Not just him his friends as well. In 2016, on one occasion his son Samar and his friend Saurabh, who are builders by profession, also assaulted me. I had informed the same to Guruji and he responded by saying 'If I am eating (referring to the woman) my son will also eat,'" said the woman in her complaint.

The woman further told the police that in 2017 his son Samar asked her to bring her daughter as well. She had also complained about it to guruji who instead told her that she has been their slave and so will the daughter be. On one occasion, he even thrashed her and asked her to get her daughter along. "He called me to the Hauz Khas Ashram and I went there along with my daughter. He moved his hands on my daughter's cheeks, lips and felt her. I also went to speak to him later but he threw me out of the Ashram and left in the car," added the woman in her complaint.

The woman told the police that she knew the godman since 2008 when her then six-year-old daughter had stomach ache issues. The godman would remove her daughter's clothes in front of her and massage her, which actually gave relief.

The police have registered a case under sections 376 D (gang-rape), 354 ( sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and POCSO Act.
