According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Jitender Kumar, a labourer. After the victim narrated the ordeal to her family, the locals caught hold of the accused and thrashed him to death.

A 25-year-old man, accused of allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl, was lynched to death by a group of people in Loni area of Ghaziabad late on Friday night. Police said the minor's condition was stated to be stable. Police have identified a few accused and registered a case against 12 people.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Jitender Kumar, a labourer. After the victim narrated the ordeal to her family, the locals caught hold of the accused and thrashed him to death. Kumar succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, police said.
Narrating the minor's trauma. her father said that the girl had gone with Kumar and his wife to attend a religious function in the neighbourhood. " My daughter returned home crying and was bleeding from private parts. When I asked her, she told me what had happened to her," said the victim's father.
The angry locals and family members of the girl caught hold of Kumar and thrashed him. Later, they informed the police about the incident. Police rushed Kumar to hospital but he was declared brought dead on arrival.
"After the investigation, it was revealed that around 12:30 am on Friday night, Kumar had dropped her wife at the function venue, and told her that he would drop the girl back to her home. Later, Kumar allegedly raped her inside his house and threatened to kill her if she disclosed it to her family," said Arvind Maurya, Superintendent of Police (Ghaziabad Rural).
Police said the doctors confirmed that the minor girl was raped.
"The doctors stated that Kumar's cause of death was severe head injuries," said Maurya. Following the incident, two FIR's have been registered, one by the Kumar's family and one by the girl's.
"We have registered an FIR against the deceased for raping the girl on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's family while the deceased's wife has given a complaint against 12 people, including the victim's brother for killing her husband," said Maurya.
