A bank employee allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 18th floor of his office building in South-East Delhi's Nehru Place area on Monday.

Initial investigations revealed that the deceased, identified as Virendra Singh, was having trouble over his marriage and had arguments with his parents before leaving for office in the morning, police said.

"The incident took place around 5pm when the guards of the building heard a loud noise. As they checked, they found Singh lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where he was declared brought dead," said a police officer.

Singh worked as a loan manager with a private finance company, office of which is located on the 7th floor of Devika Towers. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigations are on, the police officer said.
