Among the records made and broken during the first Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and England on Tuesday, one belonged to MS Dhoni.

The former Indian captain produced two stumpings on Tuesday and the second one took him above Kamran Akmal as the wicketkeeper with the most number of stumpings in the T20Is. Dhoni now has 33 stumpings to his name from 91 T20Is ahead of Kamran who has 32 in lesser names of games (58), though.

The duo of Dhoni (82) and Kamran (60) also lead the charts of most dismissals for a wicketkeeper in the shortest format.

However, the record that draws a line between Dhoni and other wicketkeepers is his number of catches in the T20Is. Dhoni with 49 catches sit on the top, while the next best, Denesh Ramdin, has just 34 catches.

Going into the Manchester ODI on Tuesday, all eyes were on Dhoni, who was just a catch away from striking a half-century there but all he could be involved were the two stumpings he enforced that dismissed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root on two consecutive deliveries.

Meanwhile, it was the Indian Captain Virat Kohli who made the other major record in the same match. Kohli, who was just eight runs away, finally reached the 2,000-mark in the T20Is becoming the first Indian and overall fourth batsman to touch the milestone in the shortest format on the international level.

Kohli scored unbeaten 22 runs in 20 balls in the Manchester game on Tuesday but a century from KL Rahul ensured India finally won a T20I on English soil in their fourth attempt there. India clinched the opening T20I by eight wickets.

The other three batsmen who have 2,000 or more runs in the T20Is are Martin Guptill (2,271), Brendon McCullum (2,140) and Shoaib Malik (2,039). The Pakistan allrounder reached the landmark on Sunday during the T20I against Zimbabwe.
