The 'Dangal' girl manages to impress us once again...
The trailer of Dangal girl Zaira Wasim's next titled Secret Superstar is finally out. Aamir Khan, who's also one of the producers of the film, has a very special role and responsibility in Secret Superstar. Going by the trailer, the movie is going to be very different yet thought provoking.
The Secret Superstar trailer begins by introducing us to Shakti Kumar (Aamir Khan) who's a music director and in the words of Kiran Rao, "a creepy guy." He's on stage to present an award for the best singer female. We're then mde acquainted with Insia, a 14-year old girl from the small town of Baroda, who dreams of becoming a successful singer as she tells her mother, "Ham chaahte hain ke sara world hamari aawaz sune. Puri duniya ko pata ho ke ham best singer hain." Her mother also has the same dream and conviction as Insia. Unfortunately, Insia's father doesn't.
Insia's father brutally plucks out the strings of her guitar so that she never dares to dream about becoming a singer. But Shakti Kumar's life-changing line "Beta tum jaise talented bachche hote hain na, sode mein bubbles ki tarah hote hain. Woh aise hi upar aate hain, apne aap. Unhe koi nahi rok sakta," gives a new direction to her dreams.
Frustrated with her suffocating life in which "saans lene tak ko allowed nahi hai hame" she decides to put forth her song on YouTube, without revealing her name or identity. As luck would have it, her song kicks up a storm online, without the knowledge of her father.
What will happen when her father comes to know about it? Will she be able to turn her dreams into reality? Wait and watch out for Secret Superstar to release this Diwali to know the answers to all your questions.
