Race 3 Box Office prediction: Salman Khan's film to mint Rs 30 crore on day 1, over Rs 100 crore in the opening weekend

Finally! Salman Khan is back with his muc awaited Eidi for his fans on the occasion of Eid this year. Race 3, hit the theatres on June 15 and the excitement of all the bhai fans is pretty much palpable. With an immense buzz created by the Race 3 trailer and songs, the movie is expected to take a humongous opening on the first day of its release. The combination of a Salman Khan film releasing on the occasion of Eid has paid off pretty well for the actor, pretty much all the time (with an exception or two) and with Race 3 being a franchise film, the expectations are sky-rocketting. 

If the reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, then Race 3 should easily open to a figure of Rs 30 crore on day one and it's expected to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend itself. 

A report on India.com quoted trade analyst Akshaye Rathi as saying,"On Day 1, Race 3 will make a minimum of Rs 30 Crore. So far the highest opening for Salman has been Sultan’s box office on Eid. The film made Rs 36.54 crore. That is why the minimum I expect is Rs 30 crore, it can be anything beyond that.Opening weekend for Race 3 will be big. A century at the box office by Race 3 doesn’t surprise me at all."

We've already witnessed the wonders that a Salman Khan film at the box office when it's an Eid release, especially in the genre of an action entertainer. Race 3, in the words of Salman, is a complete "action bonanza". So nothing less than fireworks is expected at the box office this Friday. Watch this space...
