Former minister G Janardhana Reddy, who is currently lodged in Chanchalaguda jail, is hoping for some divine intervention to ease things for him. He wants his family to contact astrologers and find some upaya (solution) to end his bad time.

Family members, who knew it was time to call off the illegal activities Bellary, are now looking up to the heavens and astrologers to survive the storm.

In the past two days, the Reddy household has seen many a spiritual activities—pujas and homas—and now is showing interest in vaastu shastra.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Reddys offered pujas and also conducted a homa. On Friday, the family consulted its astrologer and vaastu experts. They have decided to make changes in the house for vaastu dosha nivaran. It is said that they are facing troubles because the position of the house is faulty.

The house is beside a hill in Bellary near Siruguppa Road.
On Saturday, the vaastu nivaran works began with the entrance gate. The gate, which was wide enough to allow entry to two high-end cars simultaneously, has now been blocked with the bricks.

Reddy’s house is east-facing and has a huge empty space with a garden on the premises. The house has two gates, one in the north and the other to the south of the house facing east.

One gate is used as the entrance to the house, while the other acts as the entrance to the Kutira that was constructed for politicians, officials, and followers who came to meet Reddy.

The north gate, facing east is the entrance to the Kutira.
The Kutira is air-conditioned and has surveillance cameras in all directions.

The astrologer was brought by Reddy’s well-wishers, followers and fans, voluntarily.

The astrologers suggested the Reddy family to shut the gate to the Kutira. Now, the Reddy house has just one gate in the north.
More than 10 labourers were called on Saturday morning and the wall was constructed by the afternoon.

The wall, constructed to block the gate door, is six-feet high. Now, both outsiders and family members will use the same gate.
