The relatives of a 28-year-old man who had fallen from a multi-storey building here suspected foul play in his death and lodged a police complaint on Wednesday.

Giridhar Singh, a native of Rajasthan, fell to his death from the 10th floor of Godrej Apartments at Bhuvaneshwari Nagar in Amruthahalli around 10.30 pm on November 18.

He was rushed to the Columbia Asia Hospital, where doctors announced him “dead on arrival.”

The deceased man’s brother, Rajendra Singh, said in his complaint that Giridhar had no reason to commit suicide since he was mentally strong. The complainant expressed suspicion that someone might have pushed his brother from the 10th floor. Giridhar was a resident of Godrej Apartments.

The police said the deceased, who had come to the city five years ago, was involved in seat dealings and took money from several people on the promise of admission to reputed medical and engineering colleges. However, no complaints were lodged against him.

Giridhar was a diploma holder in Pharmacy. He was, however, not working in the pharma vertical.
