Court rejects bail plea in Vinod murder case

Additional chief judicial magistrate court rejected the bail plea of the four alleged associates of Kannada film producer Goverdhan Murthy, the prime accused in the actor Vinod Kumar murder case.

BANGALORE: Additional chief judicial magistrate court on Monday rejected the bail plea of the four alleged associates of Kannada film producer Goverdhan Murthy, the prime accused in the actor Vinod Kumar murder case.

Langda Babu alias Navin Kumar alias Babu, Dinesh alias Dinu, Srinivas Murthy and Prabhakar moved the bail plea 15 days ago through their counsel CV Surendra. The bail application was rejected since the offence was a non-bailable one.

A sessions court will hear Murthy’s bail application on November 21.

Vinod was allegedly shot twice on his abdomen on October 6 in Murthy's farmhouse L G Rose Heritage on

Bagalur Main Road, near Hosur Bande. Murthy and his associates were arrested from Thrissur in Kerala.
