The BangaloreOne Centre in Malleswaram on Wednesday started the facility of booking seats for the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
Home and transport minister R Ashoka, law and urban development minister S Suresh Kumar and KSRTC managing director Gaurav Gupta launched the facility.
“This facility will be available at all BangaloreOne Centres for people’s convenience. When the Metro begins from April 4, these centres will also issue the Metro Bus Transit (MBT) passes,” said Ashoka.
Ashoka said that the common mobility card would make life easy for people soon and reduce the usage of paper. “We have proposed our entire project with the common mobility card to the Centre and we are waiting for their approval which should come by in by the next month. Implementation of the project might take another six months,” he said.
Unhappy with the centre in Malleswaram, the ministers and officials asked the authorities to make the office more visible. The home minister asked the authorities to install bright lights and place advertisement boards of BMTC, KSRTC, BSNL and other utilities provided at the centre for the benefit of people.
The centre is situated between Maharani Ammani College for Women and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malleswaram.
