BJP MP DB Chandre Gowda’s staunch loyalty to former Chief Minster BS Yeddyurappa has landed him in trouble.
Gowda’s statement on Friday that BJP could win the Koppal by-election only if the party fights it under the leadership of Yeddyurappa has made state party president KS Eshwarappa see red.
Eshwarappa on Sunday wrote to Chandre Gowda seeking an explanation for his statement “which has hurt chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda”.
Taking serious objection to Chandre Gowda’s statement that it would not be possible for Sadananda Gowda to lead the party to victory, Eshwarappa said: “The statement has caused immense hurt and embarrassment to Sadananda Gowda and the party.”
Eshwarappa has asked Chandre Gowda to explain with what intentions he made the statement that has embarrassed the chief minister and the party.
