18 Karnataka high court judges post their asset details on web

The pioneering campaign of justice DV Shylendra Kumar of the Karnataka high court to ensure transparency in the higher echelons of judiciary received a fillip on Wednesday as 18 of his colleagues took his road and published details of their assets and liabilities on the website of court.

The details of the assets and liabilities of all these 19 judges are now available on the Karnataka high court website: http://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in

The judges who have posted their details include justices Manjula Chellur, K Shreedhar Rao, N Kumar, K Bhaktavatsala, Mohan Shantana Goudar, H Billappa, S Abdul Nazeer, BS Patil, V Jagannathan, CR Kumara Swamy, Ashok B Hinchigere, AS Bopanna, N Ananada, AN Venugopala Gowda, Arali Nagaraj, AS Pachapure, KN Keshav Narayana and Arvind Kumar.

Seventeen judges are yet to go public with details of their assets and liabilities. Prominent among them is chief justice PD Dinakaran, who has stopped discharging judicial functions after he was accused of grabbing government land in Tamil Nadu.
Some of the judges have also listed out the assets and liabilities of their wives and dependent children. They have also listed out investments in shares and mutual funds. The judges have also listed out their movable properties. 

Justice Jagannathan is the lone exception as he neither has a car nor any investments in shares, debentures and bonds.
