We did not spare even a single terrorist who had killed Amarnath pilgrims from Valsad district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Navsari on Wednesday.

He also reminded people that his government had also rescued 49 youth from Navsari, the dens of the terrorists in Iraq, and appealed to the voters of south Gujarat to vote for BJP in upcoming elections to the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat.

Contrasting his regime with that of previous NDA government, Modi said while previously terrorists would return to safe havens across the border after killing pilgrims, not a single one was spared by his government. Attacking the Congress for seeking details of the surgical strike in PoK last year, he said that Indian soldiers did not go there to shoot a film but to eliminate the terrorists. He then asked people which type of government they want.

"Do you want the Congress to rule Gujarat?" he asked. The audience promptly replied 'No'.

The Prime Minister also said that the government had rescued 49 youth from Navsari 'from the dens of terrorists' in Iraq, rescued Christian nurses as well. Counter-attacking Congress' terming of GST as Gabbar Singh Tax, Modi said that Congress is reminding it's relatives. "We remember people like Gandhiji, Sardar Patel, Bhagat Singh, Dadabhai Naoroji (a Parsi from south Gujarat). They remember their relatives. It depends on what kind of relatives you have," said Modi. Retaliating to Opposition's stand that there should be one GST rate across the country, Modi asked people, "How is it tax on liquor consumed by the wealthy and on salt consumed by the poor be same?"

Terming China as an enemy country, Modi criticised Rahul Gandhi's meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to India at the time of Doklam standoff. "If you want details, you should asked the MEA. Why you sought information from enemy country?" asked Modi.

Saying confidently that BJP will win elections in Gujarat, Modi said that Congress got defeated at the hands of 'Donkeys of Gujarat' in Uttar Pradesh, which has been the karmabhoomi of Nehru-Gandhi family and so in Gujarat he is seeing Congress getting wiped out.

"After demonetisation, Congress lost UP, after GST Congress lost in municipal elections in Maharashtra. Now they are dreaming to win in Gujarat. I want your blessings in the elections and ensure that Congress is wiped out from every booth in Gujarat," said Modi.

Modi paused for few minutes midway his speech and clarified that as Azaan was getting played, he had paused.
