Libya's Hamada oil field has ceased production and the eastern fields of Sarir, Nafoora and Misla are producing at about half their normal capacity, an official at a Libyan state-owned oil company said on Sunday.

Hassan Bulifa, a member of the management board of Agoco, said terminals in Tobruk and Ras Lanuf were still receiving a total of 117,000 barrels per day from Agoco fields. A tanker was being loaded at Tobruk and another was nearby, waiting to be loaded.

"The three fields in the east are producing at about half of normal capacity," Bulifa told Reuters.

"Hamada is not in operation but we hope to restore production soon," he said.
