WhatsApp now supports animated stickers, contact-adding QR codes; here's how to use

WhatsApp, the facebook-owned popular messaging app announced on Wednesday that the message haring platform will be getting the Animated Stickers, QR codes, Dark mode for web and desktop, improved video calls, and disappearing status feature for KaiOS.

Qr codes will help to scan and save the numbers to a user's contact. A user, who wishes to add a certain person's number to his/her contact will be allowed to scan someone’s QR code and add them to their contacts.

In the case of animated stickers, it has been added to make the experience of chatting interactive with animated sticker packs from which they can view, save, star, send, and forward these stickers.

'Animated Stickers' has been spotted on WhatsApp's new Beta version. 

The new feature will make the conversations more fun and interactive for users. According to Mashable, the feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo, a popular website that pushes regular updates about WhatsApp. WABetaInfo stated, "You need to update your WhatsApp version to the 2.20.194.7 Android beta and 2.20.70.26 iOS beta versions or newer updates, in order to view Animated Stickers. 

The most promising feature is the enhanced video call which will now increase the group members to eight from four. Moreover, it will have the option to focus on any one of their contacts by simply pressing and holding to widen the participant's video to full screen.

WhatsApp now will also have Dark Mode. It will be available for Android and iOS, and the web versions of the messaging app.
