Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano out of King's Cup final with injury

Sevilla's Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano will miss the King's Cup final against Atletico Madrid after failing to recover from a thigh muscle injury in time, the Spanish club said on Monday.

Fabiano, who had missed the La Liga match at Almeria on Saturday after suffering the injury while warming up, will instead join up with the Brazilian national team at its request, Sevilla said on its website (www.sevillafc.es).

The 29-year-old is Sevilla's top scorer and also a key figure in Brazil coach Dunga's squad and plans for the World Cup finals in South Africa from June 11 to July 11.
