Infuriated after England Captain Alastair Cook's remark about England Cricket Board (ECB) boss Colin Graves, former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott said that the present national side is not at all playing good cricket and even Yorkshire can beat them.

After the loss in the Barbados Test, Cook pointed out Graves' comment on labelling West Indies side a 'mediocre team', which eventually turned out to be an inspiration for the Caribbean side.

Boycott said that there was no reason for Cook to 'slag off Yorkshire folk' and would have been sacked in any other profession for publicly criticising the boss.

He added that Cook was behaving as if he was the best captain England had ever produced and no one could target him, the BBC reported.

However, former team mate of Cook, Steve Harmison stood beside him and insisted that Boycott's comment was disgrace.
