After a long meandering season filled with plenty of drama and excitement, the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season has finally come to an end with Chelsea emerging as champions for the first time in five years.

But in the battle for the Golden Boot Award, a certain Argentine emerged as the winner. Sergio Aguero who has been inspirational for Manchester City this season, guided his team to a second place finish with his incredible goal tally of 26 goals.

Harry Kane who has been the breakout star in the Premier League this season, has been a revelation for Tottenham Hotspur. In spite of finishing second on the top scorers' list with 21 goals, Kane proved exactly why he was voted the PFA Young Player of the Year Award. The Englishman notched up 31 goals for Tottenham this season in all competitions, and guided his team to a fifth place finish on the final day of the Premier League proceedings.

Diego Costa finished third on the top scorers' list with his tally of 20 goals. But if the Spaniard remained fit throughout the season, he may have arguably been the top scorer given the sensational form he was in prior to his injury.
