I was also cheated by Jadeja, says Shaitan

Even IIM graduates have to struggle to earn Rs5 lakh per month, but not Shaitansinh Rathod, a close of aide of Ashok Jadeja, who earned the same by merely being a party to the fraud. In the most recent of the developments, Rathod confessed before the CID (Crime) that Jadeja had appointed him as the supervisor of the entire scheme, and paid him Rs5 lakh per month for his services.    

Rathod also divulged that he had invested all his earnings back into the triple money scheme. He confessed that he had cheated people and procured a good amount of through fraudulent means. "I stole crores of rupees, but invested them back into the scheme. I was also cheated by Jadeja," Rathod admitted before the police.

Ashamed of his deeds Rathod said, "I now realise that what I did was wrong; I cannot face my community members. I had even met some of the people of my community and apologised for what I did, but I could not win their forgiveness." The police have seized properties, gold, two cars and a motorcycle from Rathod. He has also invested a huge amount of money in other properties which the police are investigating. Investigating officer RK Patel said, "Rathod has invested crores of rupees in share markets, real estate, luxury vehicles and business firms. He also bought the Sahajanand shopping complex at Sarkhej."

Rathod also said that he along with Jadeja and other associates had fled to Porbandar and Chotila to escape arrest.

Rathod said Manharlal and Hakam Fuaji, two other agents of Jadeja, had purchased shops near Ujala Circle with the money they collected fraudulently. He also disclosed that Mangilal, father of Manharlal, was the one who brought bar girls for Jadeja in Badmere. Jadeja had earlier thought of introducing a scheme that involves exchange of grocery.
