Chudasama challenges case by forest dept

Anil Chudasama has filed a petition challenging an offense registered against him by the forest department.

The high court had ordered furnishing of records of rehabilitation lands in the Gir reserved forest, acting on his petition.

The high court has issued notices to the Junagadh DSP and others and adjourned the case till June 15. The forest department last month lodged a case against him under the provisions of the Indian forest act for having illegally entered into the reserved forest area.

Chudasama had reportedly gone to his farmland situated in the reserved Gir forest for cultivation.
