The nun allegedly raped in Kandhamal will not attend the test identification parade (TIP) scheduled for on Saturday at a jail.

'The nun will not attend the TIP scheduled to be held at Baliguda tomorrow as she does not feel secure going to Kandhamal again,'' Vicar-general at the Bishop House Joseph Kalathil told reporters.

The nun's lawyer would move a petition at Baliguda court on Saturday seeking more time as her petition in the High Court was yet to be heard, he said.

The nun was yet to reach Orissa, official sources said.

'We are ready to conduct the TIP with required number of people to participate in the process,'' Baliguda sub-jail superintendent S N Rath said.

The Orissa police, probing the case of alleged rape, was prepared to take the nun from here to Baliguda with full protection, IG Arun Roy said.

The 29-year-old Catholic nun, who was allegedly raped at K Nuagaon under Baliguda police station during the Orissa bandh on August 25, 2008, had identified two persons during the first TIP held at a jail in Cuttack on January 5.

The second TIP was required as five more accused were arrested after the first one.
