Madhya Pradesh Congress on Saturday charged BJP's newly-appointed district unit president Ranveer Singh Rawat with violation of the model code of conduct.
    
Congress district unit President LS Yadav said here that during a function felicitating Rawat's appointment, the BJP had erected a pandal at Adarsh Colony after closing entrance points and organised a feast for party workers at a bungalow belonging to the forest department.

"This is a clear violation of election model code of conduct imposed in view of the Lok Sabha polls," he said.
    
We will complain to the Election Commission with proof including photographs of the function, Yadav said.
    
Meanwhile,sub district magistrate (SDM) Madhukar Agyaney said the administration would investigate into the matter.
    
"No party can be given permission to block roads and use government premises for political purposes," he added.
