Jade Goody's publicist believes that the star has garnered enough media attention to withdraw from the public eye.

Max Clifford, who successfully masterminded Goody's media campaign to highlight the dangers of cervical cancer and raise money to support her young sons, believes "enough is enough", the Daily Mail quoted him saying on a radio show.

"My attitude to Jade in recent times is 'Don't you think enough is enough? Don't you think you've got the message out there? The money that you wanted for the boys we've done, we've made, it's in place, the money is assured," he said.

Terminally ill Goody is recovering in London's Royal Marsden Hospital following emergency surgery to relieve pain in her bowel.

"Jade likes and enjoys the media spotlight. But if she continues to be in the kind of pain and condition she is in then my advice increasingly will be: 'Don't you think enough is enough?," he said.

Clifford said he sometimes felt uneasy about the voyeurism surrounding Jade remaining in the media spotlight.

"So much of it has got to be guided by her because it's her life and it's for her to decide. But of course if she's not well enough to make that decision then I will make that decision for her automatically."
