Timely intervention by Hrithik Roshan and papa Rakesh on the sets of their forthcoming big-budget film Kites in Mumbai averted a major fight that was about to break when security men deployed to guard the premises apparently manhandled some men working in the fittings department of the film in Filmistan Studios.

A well-placed source informs us about the incident which took place recently, “There was a big mess up when few security guards of Rakesh Roshan’s film became very curt and even manhandled about two fittings department workers who were working on the sets of Kites.”

The insider adds, “Workers on the sets took heavy offence of this and a clash between the security department and them was on the cards. Tension had gripped the sets of the film and tempers were flying high. It would have boiled down to a big fight if Hrithik and Rakesh had not salvaged the situation.

All work had momentarily stopped, the workers were also planning to lodge an official complaint to their federation as well as go to the police. Hrithik and his dad asked the security personnel to back off, heard out the entire incident and then even apologised to the workers on behalf of the security. The workers finally calmed down and work resumed. Thankfully, Hrithik and Rakesh managed to cool the snowballing temper of the workers.”

When phoned, the film’s producer Rakesh told us, “Yes, there was a quarrel between a person from security and a man from the fittings department but nothing went out of hand. We controlled the situation and there’s no issue now. Everything has been sorted out. Lots of things happen on the sets.”
