Chand flies to UK, Fiza sounds cops

The Chand-Fiza love story hit rock bottom after Fiza accused the Haryana MLA, who converted to Islam to marry her in January, of raping and cheating her.

After giving Chand Mohammad almost a week to explain his position, Fiza alias Anuradha Bali filed a police complaint on Monday against the former Haryana deputy CM. Chand alias Chander Mohan has reportedly flown to England to be with his son.

Sources said he flew out last week after messaging Fiza that she should wait for four-five days before initiating legal action against him. He reportedly took his first wife along.
In her complaint to Mohali Police, Fiza said Chander changed his faith with the intention of raping her.

“I have been hurt mentally and physically. My religious belief has also been deeply hurt by the act of the Kalka MLA,” she said.

Fiza has forwarded copies of the complaint to Delhi-based NGO National Council of Women, Punjab State Human Rights Commission and the Haryana chief minister.

Mohali SSP JS Aulakh said an inquiry had been marked to the SP (city). The police are examining proof of marriage and Fiza’s other claims. 

Fiza, former assistant advocate general of Haryana, has alleged Chand met her in 2004 and soon after asked her to marry him. “As I kept rejecting his proposal he started SMSing me, saying he would end his life if I did not agree to marry him,” she claims.
