The BJP on Tuesday said it will go to the polls on the plank of "betrayal" of the common man by the UPA government.

Its prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, who addressed the parliamentary party meet here, asked the lawmakers to "expose" the UPA on its "anti-people" policies.

"Advaniji has asked MPs to expose UPA on its anti-people policies. It has failed to bring any relief to farmers, armymen and young people. We will take the issue to the people. Let people decide the fate of this government," party leader Sushma Swaraj said here.

The Opposition would also demand dissolution of the Jharkhand Assembly "to avert any further experiment" in that state during the session.

"Jharkhand has become a laboratory of political experiments. Though a debate on president's rule in the state is pending but our party will build pressure on the government to dissolve the assembly and have polls along with those of Lok Sabha," Swaraj said.

The party has also supported the ongoing strike by the Arunachal Pradesh state government employees, who are demanding the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission report in the state.
