An independent film on Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and principles made by Canadian director Garth Dykes will be shown at the Vancouver Film Festival. Garth shot the film when he was in India last year for a 12-day tour organised by family members of Gandhi.

Tushar Gandhi (the great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi) says, “Garth came along with a group of Americans to see Gandhi’s India and visit important places related to the Gandhian principles. He also took some interviews. He wanted to make something on the legacy of Bapu. It is tentatively called Steps of Gandhi.”

Tushar adds: “Garth is trying to make two versions of the film. One will be a 90-minute film for film festivals and the other a TV version.”
