MUNGER (Bihar): A gunman was beaten to death and two villagers were injuries when a group of gunmen fired at their rivals at a feast at Bangalwa village in Bihar's Munger district, police said on Sunday.
 
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Arvind Kumar said, "The gunmen identified as Rajesh Kumar, Jitendra Sao and Lalu Sao, came to the village on a motorcycle and started firing at their rival Deepak Kumar Gupta and others last night."
    
Soon after the firing which injured Deepak and Bablu Sao, angry villagers caught Rajesh and beat him to death, while two of his aides - Jitendra and Lalu, managed to flee, DSP said.
    
Deepak and another person who sustained gun-shot injuries in the attack, were admitted to a nearby government hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger, Kumar said.
    
Police patrol has been intensified in the area following the shoot-out.
