CHENNAI: The recent violence in the Dr Ambedkar Law College here will be the subject of a forthcoming Tamil movie, a film producer said on Saturday.

"'Suriyan Sattakkalloori' has the message that no one is above the law or should break it. Some of the incidents that attracted the media's attention during the past two days will be recreated in the film," its producer Siva Shakthi Pandian said.

Featuring Ghajini, daughter of producer Khaja Mohiuddin, the film will be directed by Pavan, a press statement said.

The film will also be the debut of new find Mithra, it added.

Students across the state held demonstrations and pelted stones at government property to protest alleged police inaction during Wednesday's clash between students of the Dr Ambedkar Law College.

The violent protest by law college students across the state led to examinations being postponed and indefinite closure of several hostels, officials said.
