VADODARA: Delhi captain Virender Sehwag on Friday lodged a complaint with the Match Referee against his India teammate Munaf Patel, accusing the lanky pacer of abusing him during the ongoing Irani Cup.

Munaf had apparently abused Sehwag when he was batting and that miffed the Delhi captain, who felt enough was enough.

Sehwag lodged a complaint with Match Referee RR Jadeja against Munaf, who allegedly had also foulmouthed Ishant Sharma in the match.

"Yes, I have received an official complaint from the Delhi captain about a certain player's behaviour," Jadeja said, though he refused to disclose the name of the player.

"I cannot tell you more than that at this point of time. We are looking into the complaint and you would get to know more about it tomorrow," Jadeja said.

"It is regarding an incident that happened yesterday, following which we got the complaint. We are going through the complaint and you have to wait to know the outcome," he said.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that the temperamental pacer has found himself in a spot of bother.

During the recent ODI series in Sri Lanka, Munaf was found guilty of verbally abusing Gamini Silva after the Lankan umpire had turned down a leg before appeal.

Match Referee Chris Broad subsequently fined Munaf 75 per cent of his match fee for using "language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature."
