KOLKATA: The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday asked the West Bengal government to implement the agreement reached between them two days ago over resolving the Singur logjam and said there was no confusion in the understanding.

"There is no confusion over the agreement reached between us and the state government in the presence of the highest constitutional head," Banerjee said at her residence here.

Her comments followed the statement by Commerce and Industry Minister Nirupam Sen that the Tatas had been assured that no land from the project area will be given to farmers.

The Trinamool chief said that it was decided at the meeting she had with Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee that a committee will be set up to determine modalities for finding maximum land within the project site and the rest in the adjacent areas.

"We have a one-point programme now which is to implement the agreement reached at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday and we are not bothered about who are creating confusion and what these individuals are saying about the agreement," she said in an apparent dig at the Industry Minister.
