KOLKATA: Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunshi on Saturday criticised West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi for not inviting the Congress to the crucial talks to resolve the Singur deadlock, but wished success to his endeavour.

"Congress is deeply involved with the Singur farmers in their movement for land and in the fitness of things, Congress should have been invited to the talks," Dasmunshi, also the WBPCC President, said at the PCC headquarters.

He said the Congress was keeping a close watch on the progress of talks. "We wish success to the talks."

The PCC criticised Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee for allowing the Singur situation to take a critical turn.

The Congress would organise a 'chintan shibir' (brainstorming session) after the puja festival where agitational programmes against Left Front's "misrule" would be finalised, he added.
