NEW DELHI : The BSF has claimed the central security agencies probing different terror attacks are not sharing information with it, leading to failure of action against militants on time.

The BSF, which guard the 4,095-km-long porous Indo-Bangla border, has been able to apprehend seven criminals involved in terror acts in India despite lack of information. “We do not get authentic information from investigating agencies on time. Whatever action we have taken against militant outfits like Huji and LeT along the border so far were based on media reports,” director general of BSF A K Mitra said.

Mitra had made these remarks when asked if the BSF had raised the issue of activities of Bangladesh-based Huji, accused of perpetrating terror acts in India, during its recent five-day talks with Bangladesh Rifles in Dhaka. “Without specific information, it is difficult to act. It is a failure on the part of the probing agencies,” Mitra said.
