AHMEDABAD: The NDTV office here was ransacked by activists of a Hindu right wing organisation 'Hindu Samrajya Sena' on Saturday morning, protesting against an SMS poll conducted by the channel.
According to channel officials, the activists barged into the NDTV office, located at Navrangpura area, expressing their annoyance over the inclusion of controversial painter M F Hussein's name in the NDTV's poll as a contender for 'Bharat Ratna', nation's highest civilian honour.
At least 20 activists ransacked the NDTV office and destroyed studio equipments, air-conditioners and other properties of the office. One employee of the channel was also injured, officials added.
Gujarat Minister of state for home Amit Shah, meanwhile, has assured strict action against attackers.
