Two arrested for kidnapping girl

VADODARA: A tantrik and his friend have been arrested for kidnapping a minor girl from village Umedpur of Surendranagar district, police said on Saturday.

Police arrested the duo Jitendra Ramesh Maharaj alias Bavaji(tantrik) and his friend Mahesh Gajjar on Friday after getting a complaint from the parents of the kidnapped girl.

Maharaj had cultivated the confidence of the parents of the kidnapped girl by visiting their house and later Maharaj had disappeared with the girl on the same day, police said.

Surendranagar police put the mobile phone of the wife of the trantik under observation and was traced him at Pavagadh.
