JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal Challengers will
wear black armbands during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Saturday as a mark of respect towards the victims of serial blasts.
Security arrangements for the remaining IPL matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here will be tightened in the wake of the blasts on Tuesday.
The series of blasts ripped through the heart of the city, killing at least 63 people and injuring 90. The terror strikes have put a question mark over the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royals Challengers.
However, after meeting with the state's home secretary, V.S. Singh, IPL chairman and commissioner Lalit Modi said Wednesday the match would be held as scheduled.
"The security for future matches will be heightened and no bags will be allowed in the stadium," Modi said in a statement.
