Labourer killed in mishap

     GANGTOK: On wed a labourer was killed and another person injured when a JCB machine in which they were travelling in overturned near Rongli area in East Sikkim,police said today.
The mishap took place late last evening as the ill-fated JCB machine belonging to the construction company was on way
to the hydro power project site from Rangpo when it skidded off the road and fell 200 feet below, the police said.
A labourer, identified as Prakash Upreti, who was travelling by the vehicle, sustained multiple injuries and
died on way to a hospital, they said.
The JCB driver, Prakash Vishwakarma, was also injured in the incident and was taken to a private hospital at Siliguri
for treatment.
