CHENNAI: Opposition AIADMK on Wednesday staged a walk out in the Tamil Nadu assembly, protesting the 'failure' of DMK government in preventing the activities of Tamil Tigers in the state.

As governor S S Barnala rose to address the assembly, AIADMK legislature party deputy leader O Pannerselvam read out a statement, demanding dismissal of the government claiming that the law and order in the state has deteriorated.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's eulogy on slain LTTE political wing secretary S P Tamilselvan and the release of the same through government's Public Relation Department is an act of anti-nationalism as LTTE is a banned outfit, he said.

"LTTE men have a free run in the state and the American intelligence wing FBI had warned the state of the LTTE infiltration," he said.

The Governor should dismiss the DMK government, he said, adding that they were staging a walk out from the house to mark their protest against the "failure of the state government in preventing LTTE's activities in the state".

The AIADMK had been boycotting the governor's address ever since the DMK government took over in 2006.
