NEW DELHI: Buoyed by the stunning victory of Narendra Modi in Gujarat, BJP on Monday said it will replicate the combination of Hindutva and development as poll plank in other states too.

Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said Hindutva for the party meant nationalism and it will continue to raise issues like Ram Setu and the fight against terrorism.

"Hindutva means nationalism. One country one people.... Nationalism and development have always been the twin planks of the BJP," he told here.

He said senior leader L K Advani and Party chief Rajnath Singh will be in Gandhinagar to witness the swearing in of Modi on Tuesday.

Unlike in Karnataka, the party is not taking a media contingent to Gandhinagar for Modi's oath taking as the chief minister for the third time.

The party had taken a plane full of journalists to Bangalore for the oath taking of B S Yediyurappa, whose government lasted only for eight days.

Senior leaders Arun Jaitely and Venkaiah Naidu are already in Gandhinagar.

It is also not sure whether the chief ministers of BJP- ruled states will travel to Gujarat for the function like they did in case of Karnataka.

Javadekar alleged that out of 'frustration' and 'disappointment' over defeat, some Congress leaders have said that Gujarat has sided with communalism.

"Such remarks are an insult to Gujarat and the people of the state. Nobody should make such comments in a democratic set up," he told here.
