AHMEDABAD: As Gujarat prepares to count the votes cast in assembly elections, both the BJP and the Congress are confident of forming the government in the state.

From December 16 both have been claiming that the voting patterns will help them win more seats than they had.

All three exit polls conducted by TV channels — Star News, CNN-IBN and NDTV have predicted a BJP win. The BJP camp is witnessing additional activity because of the issue of notices to senior leaders Keshubhai Patel and Kanshiram Rana who had led the dissidence movement during the elections.

Neck and Neck
Bookies feel the BJP will bag between 100-110 seats. His victory is priced at 33 paisa; a Cong win at 35 paisa. Odds of Modi retaining power are at 15 paisa.
