Top cops get extension

MUMBAI: Ending weeks of speculation, DGP PS Pasricha and city commissioner DN Jadhav finally received three months’ extension. Both were slated to retire on Friday but will now remain in service till February-end next year.

According to sources, the  confirmation on their extension was conveyed by the union home ministry last Monday but was kept a tightly guarded secret. This was to prevent any attempt by disgruntled officers to move the court against implementation of the order.

Sources add that at least two senior IPS officers were planning to move the HC.
