Two infants go missing from Thane

Two three-year-old girls went missing on Sunday from the Rabodi locality of Thane.The two cousins Sania Khan and Misba Asif Ali Shaikh were last seen playing near their residence in the Rabodi locality.

Two three-year-old girls went missing on Sunday from the Rabodi locality of Thane.

The two cousins Sania Khan and Misba Asif Ali Shaikh were last seen playing near their residence in the Rabodi locality.

The Shaikh family stays in Ghatkopar and had come to Thane to attend a wedding function. A missing person complaint was lodged with the Thane city police on Tuesday by the family members but the police are yet a make breakthrough in the case.

“We belong to a middle-class background and do not have any enmity or rivalry with anyone. There has been no ransom demand from anyone so far,” said Sania’s mother Shabbo Khan.

About five months ago, two young girls were abducted in a similar manner from the same locality but were found within two hours at Kalva railway station.

They revealed to the police an auto rickshaw driver had forcibly made them sit in the auto, but dropped them later near the Kalva railway station. No police complaint was lodged by the parents of the two girls in that case.
