Devotee dies in Golden Temple after electric shock

AMRITSAR: A devotee has died at the Harmandir Sahib here after accidently touching a charged iron grill and falling into the water pool.
   
According to sources, Bhupinder Singh, 22, a local resident, was entering inside the sanctum sanctorum late last night and his hand accidently touched an iron grill which was charged due to a loose electric connection.

Immediately after the incident, the scared boy fell into the water pool and remained in the water for "fifteen minutes" before he was brought out from the pool by the task force of the shrine, they said.
   
The boy was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead, Superintendent Police Surjit Singh said.
