JODHPUR: Bollywood star Salman Khan will appear before the principal bench of the Rajasthan High Court here on Wednesday in connection with the chinkara poaching case.

"Salman Khan will appear before the registry of the Rajasthan High Court where his attendance will be marked," said the actor's counsel H M Saraswat.

He is expected to reach here on Tuesday night, sources close to him said.

After spending six nights, Salman had walked out of Central Jail here on August 31 when the High Court gave bail and suspended his five-year sentence awarded for killing the endangered deer nine years back.

A single bench of the court of Justice H R Panwar ordered the release of the 41-year-old star after directing him to furnish a personal bond of Rs one lakh and two surety bonds of Rs 50,000.

Justice Panwar had directed Salman to personally appear before the court on October 24.

Salman was found guilty of poaching the chinkara at Ujiyala Bhakhar near Ghoda Farm in 1998 while shooting for the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
